For vintage maps, we may also remove distractions (stamps, marks, creases, blemishes) to restore clarity. Does this mean the vintage-looking map I order will look brand new? No, we clean up images by removing stamps, tears, & creases but aim to preserve historical character. This means keeping textures, fading, and stains when appropriate. It’s a careful balance, and our goal is to deliver the best version of each map. Will I be able to read all the text on my map? It depends! Many maps have text of varying sizes, so legibility depends on the print size. Smaller prints may make tiny text hard to read. We're always happy to help if you're unsure about a map.
